Hey- afternoon arts-and-crafts funtime fun!

In today's Inquirer (Best to read it every day!), there's an article about stiffer overnight parking enforcement in parts of the city. Here is the lead:

Rust never sleeps.

Neither does the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which since October has run a third shift between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to crack down on the most potentially dangerous violations of the city's parking laws.

OKAY. your assignment- come up with your own awkward lead for the story, also using other Neil Young album titles. Either solo works or those done with CSN and Buffalo Springfield are acceptable.

For the sake of assistance, here is a discography.

GO!

ALRIGHT, THEN, I WILL START:

Tonight's the night.

You could get a ticket, that is. Since October, the Philadelphia Parking Authority has run a third shift between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to crack down on the most potentially dangerous violations of the city's parking laws.

Tonight's the night...that you'll pay stiffer penalties for city parking violations.

Everybody knows this is nowhere...to park, lest you run the risk of receiving a ticket from the ever-vigilant Philadelphia Parking Authority.

Time fades away...when you're working the graveyard shift on the PPA's elite Hydrant and Fire Lane Patrol.

Long may you run...

...after your car as it is towed by the PPA, which since October has run a third shift between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to crack down on the most potentially dangerous violations of the city's parking laws.

Harvest.

Yes, it's a veritable bumper crop of parking tickets for the Philadelphia Parking Authority...

Are you passionate?

The Philadelphia Parking Authority is. They've been working to crack down on potentially dangerous violations...

Merkin ball.

That's what some drivers in Philly wish they'd found on their windshield this morning, instead of violation notices from...

Sorry, have to call illegal procedure here. Merkin Ball is a Pearl Jam EP featuring Neil Young. You must mean Mirror Ball, the Neil Young album featuring Pearl Jam.

Your pedantry is unimpressive in the face of my comedy.

Heart of gold.

That's not what the parking authority has for people who park in front of fire hydrants at 4 a.m.

Neil Young...

...Now has to watch more carefully where he parks overnight in Philadelphia.

Zuma...

...No more. Parking overnight in Philadelphia, once considered "a beach," is now a far more financially treacherous activity.

Trans-

-Am? Cutlass Supreme? No matter what kind of car you drive, Philadelphia's overnight parking cops now have it in their crosshairs.

A newspaper writer thought they'd be clever and shoehorn a Neil Young album title into a story to which it doesn't relate in the least.

A bigger foot in a smaller shoe
Hey, hey; my, my - perhaps writing a few more parking citations can put this city Into the Black. That seems to be the opinion of the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which since October has run a third shift between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to crack down on the most potentially dangerous violations of the city's parking laws. Unless you can find an individual cop with a Heart of Gold, you may Find the Cost of Freedom to park illegally in the city has just gone way, way up. It's almost enough to drive Pennsylvania motorists to Ohio. Everybody Knows this is Nowhere to be a parking scofflaw - it is even more so lately. So if you think you can leave your car Out on the Weekend or Down By the River Till the Morning Comes, you'd better think again. So, for the sake of your Peace of Mind, take your Trans Am and Drive on Back to your house, or Life in the City of Philadelphia could become even more expensive than it has always been. Or better yet Leave the Driving to your friendly, efficient South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority.

Time fades away.

So with Philadelphia's new parking regulations, you better hurry up and feed the meter because tonight's the night you could get a hefty fine.

Buffalo Springfield Again!

Those are the words you'll be substituting for unprintable swears when you find that the Philadelphia Parking Authority has, once again, caught you violating city parking laws during the hours of 10:30 pm and 6:30 am.
